The Scalabrienne sisters work much in different bateyes. We do give them a good hand ... as much as we can. They have a new employee who will take in charge the coop. We have 5 coop now. It is growing because you beleive in us. Today we gave them lots of baseball equipement for the kids in bateyes. Thanks for beleiving in us.

Smelling urine and much more was the issue today in one of the old people house. During the year much students have visited old people home and we have to point out that we do the best we can to help them , Today we went to buy a matress for an old person . What a great joy for the familly and the neighboors ... Thanks to you for beleiving in us.

This is the first section of the construction. We want to do a second floor to receive groups and to give formation for people living in the area.
We included a center for university sponsorship program to study. We are opening the door to young people that wants to receive a good education. A place where we will have computers.

Why not ! All have a right on the planet to learn and specially the children. We have 187 kids in the bateye Lima. The Dominican Experience wants to set up a library in the bateye. We want them to have a place to go and get a book and read. This bateye doest have electricity - running drinking water. It is more than 1hr drive from the city of San Pedro de Macoris. Here are our photos for you to see how it is very primative. Thanks for helping us.
Thanks to St-Paul catholic high school of Ottawa for there donations of weel chairs. Here is proof .. how it does help.
The sugar cane way. where there is not electricity and where we have to buy the ice for there home.
Robert is learning how 2 tenagers are making working a full day in the sugar cane field.
Life is very difficult and incredible for handicape in the bateye. We would need the presence of Jean Vanier to understand how to help out.
The library would cost us approximatly 3,000.00 $ for the first year.

The center that the sisters have is a place for formation for Haitien people living in the Dominican Republic. There is much done in that area to try to get the lives of much people better. Today was a moment to realize how the sisters work in very poor conditions. Yes there are still some people on the planet giving there life to serve the poor. The Dominican Experience work very closely with the sisters. Together we celebrate.

We have decided of a new structure for the Dominican Experience project. We will have 7 comittee where we will be contributing directly to different program in education. Follow us closelly this year you will see many young people that wants a better world by working together.

Lots of young people from Vasca and Escarduna wants to go to school but they dont have money to pay there transportation. This year the Dominican Experience wants to help out to give a chance to those young people to have an education. We need your help. Imagine - it cost 7.00 $ per day including transportation and food. We did start looking into how many young people dont go to secondary school and there is lots of them ! Thanks for helping us.

Wow this will be a great year full of challenge for the Dominican team. We will be receiving more than 27 groups and helping much famillies. We needed more familly to receive students and adults. Here are some of our new famillies that will receive students. Thank you for beleiving in us.
